Expecting multiples

TAMBA
The Twins and Multiple Births Association, Tamba is a nationwide UK charity providing information and mutual support networks for families of twins, triplets and more. They run regular courses for expectant parents which are particularly useful – especially for first time parents!

NCT
The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) offers support in pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. They aim to give every parent the chance to make informed choices. NCT run regular antenatal courses for expectant parents – while not aimed at multiples, it can still be a useful resource.

The Multiple Births Foundation
The Multiple Births Foundation is a national and international authority on multiple births – the only charity internationally which employs healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting multiple birth families and educating and advising professionals about their special needs. They recommend some useful publications, and hold regular prenatal meetings in London for expectant families.

Twin antenatal classes
Positively Twins (based in Harpended) is a relaxed, tailor-made course of antenatal educational classes designed with twin pregnancy in mind. It provides many aspects of pregnancy, labour and delivery along with the immediate post-natal period of caring for your babies.

Association for Post-Natal illness
The Association for Post-Natal Illness is the leading organisation in its field, it is a Registered Charity and it was established in 1979 to provide support to mothers suffering from post-natal illness, increase public awareness of the illness and to encourage research into its cause and nature.

Action on Addiction
Action on Addiction is the UK’s only charity working across the addiction field in treatment, support for families and children, & research. As well as providing support and resources for those suffering from addiction, it also offers various programmes for families, relatives, partners, friends, and children of addicted people.
