Playgroup – 05/12/2019

The St Albans & District Twins club playgroup usually meets at St Stephens Church Hall, Watling Street, St Albans on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays in the month during school term times. We welcome bumps, babies and toddlers (aged 0-3 / pre-schoolers), with mums, dads, grandparents, nannies, au pairs, childminders etc. The playgroup is open to members only – if you are not a member and would like to come along, please contact our membership secretary.

The playgroup is a particularly useful event for parents to bring their children to as it’s a unique opportunity to chat in person to other parents of multiples, discuss problems they’re facing and share tips on managing.

All playgroup dates are available from our calendar, and the date of the next session can be found in the box to the right of this page.

The playgroup runs from 9.45 – 11.15am. There is free play until about 10.50, then everyone helps clear away the toys, and we usually have singing/nursery rhymes from 11am until 11.15. There is a separate baby area. If you are able to help set up, please arrive at 9.30am.

Please make sure ALL adults and children are signed in on arrival. It costs £2 per family, including tea/coffee/squash and biscuits (served until 10.45).

There is a large car park (entrance on Watling St – sat nav AL1 2PX). If you are bringing a buggy, please park it in the corridor to allow extra playspace in the hall. There is a separate baby area.

Note: Please close doors behind you when you enter and leave the premises, in order to prevent escaping toddlers!

The playgroup is run by committee members, all twin parents, and we always need volunteers to set up, make teas and tidy away. If you feel you can help in any way (even just occasionally!) please email the playgroup organiser on playgroup@stalbanstwinsclub.co.uk.
